1 Tbsp Olive Oil
8 oz Shiitake Mushrooms
6 Cups Vegetable Stock
2/3 Cup Soy Sauce
2 Tbsp Fresh Ginger – Grated
1 Tsp Chilli Sauce
4 Scallions – Thinly Sliced
4 Carrots – Thinly Sliced

It’s not certain as to whether we could say an overall rise in drinking habits has been established since the first lockdown. Or indeed that the last year may have substantially lowered peoples intake of the hard stuff. It’s difficult to say. But either way, January comes around every year as sure as the sun rises each day, and with it, a big decision.
“To go dry, or not to go dry?” – that is the question.

So let’s cut straight to the chase. We all know that alcohol is something better consumed in moderation and in fact if it can be removed altogether, even better. As our nutritionist, Alison Stork, says “In terms of alcohol intake per week, there is no minimum requirement”. January isn’t the only month you can ‘go dry’ either. But what actually happens to our body when we cut down/cut booze out completely?

Being an online, on-demand, at-home fitness platform, you’d think we would avoid this question. But actually, there’s pros and cons to both choices, and we’re more than happy to talk diplomatically about them!
When we hear the term, ‘Aerobics’ we probably picture one of the three great legends of our time. Mr Motivator, Jane Fonda or the ‘Green Goddess’ herself Diana Moran, right? The headbands, the leg warmers, the brightly coloured leotards and bumbags – cue the nostalgia! Throughout the 1980s and 90s Aerobics was a hugely popular choice of exercise, there’s no doubt about that. Still, it hasn’t completely disappeared. In fact, the Green Goddess has never really stopped, and she’s looking sensational (as are Mr Motivator and Ms Fonda for that matter).
Approached with the correct mindset, the skipping rope can be a serious contender in boosting your fitness. Top athletes often turn to this form of exercise, and if it’s good enough for them, it’s good enough for us!
