A warm, comforting dessert with a lighter twist. These cinnamon apple crumble pots are naturally sweet, easy to make, and perfect as a simple treat that still supports a balanced approach to nutrition.
Method
Preheat the oven to 180°C (160°C fan).
Place the diced apples into a small saucepan with the cinnamon, honey, and a splash of water. Cook over a medium heat for around 8–10 minutes until the apples begin to soften.
Meanwhile, in a bowl, mix the oats, flour, coconut oil (or butter), and sugar until you have a crumbly texture. Stir in the chopped nuts if using.
Spoon the softened apples into small ovenproof dishes, then top with the crumble mixture.
Bake for 15–20 minutes until the topping is golden and crisp.
Serve warm and enjoy.
