Everyone can enjoy good health – and we don’t just mean physical health. Good mental health allows us to embrace life and enjoy the journey, but sometimes we need a little support to help navigate our way through, especially during challenging times.
We know that performing regular exercise at least 2-3 times a week has many health benefits. Suppose we can increase that to 4-5 times, even better. We also know that feeding our body a balanced and varied diet works alongside the exercise, giving us a more excellent all-round health. But do we need to go one step further and implement the use of supplements into our diet?
Yin Yoga is a wonderful way to stimulate the connective tissues of the body. By holding specific poses we increase the energy flow and opening of internal Yin channels. By breathing into these poses and aiming to hold them for at least 2 minutes, both the body and mind can fall in to a beautiful meditative state.
With all yoga, it can be a fantastic way to start or end you day and these five yin yoga poses are a great place to start. If you’re unsure at any point, try googling the pose for an imagine to match.
