Bio

Hi, I’m Leigh,

Coming from a dance background, exercise and fitness has always been an integral part of my life. I first became an instructor 4 years ago and fell in love with teaching! I take great satisfaction in helping people achieve their body goals and I feel privileged to actually mean it when I say that I love my job!
Another passion of mine is yoga. I can honestly say that it has changed my life. Yoga is something that I like to infuse into my workouts as the connection of body and mind is a very powerful thing.
Although I think exercise is essential for everyday life, I love to make it fun (but not quite pain-free) and to not take it too seriously! I believe that variety is always a good thing and having a positive frame of mind will always help you achieve your goals!

The Ultimate Shred

The reason it works:
Not only do you burn more calories during a HIIT class, but the effect of all of that intense exertion kicks the body’s repair cycle into hyperdrive. That means you burn more calories and fat in the 24 hours after a HIIT workout than you do after long stints of cardio exercise. Most people aren’t used to pushing into the anaerobic zone (training without the use of oxygen) but in this case, extreme training, produces extreme results.
For those of you who have been on a diet, you may have realized that it is hard not to lose muscle mass along with fat. While steady cardio seems to encourage muscle loss, research shows that both weight and HIIT training allows dieters to preserve their hard-earned muscles whilst ensuring that most of their weight loss comes from fat stores.
As well as increased fat burning and more muscle preserved, HIIT stimulates the production of human growth hormone (HGH) during the 24 hours after you finish your workout. This is great for us as HGH is not only responsible for increased calorie burn but also slows down the aging process, making us more youthful inside and out!
All you need is an exercise mat, water, and a towel.  In month 3 you will need a chair….it can be a dining room chair or you can use your sofa!
This is a progressive plan so as long as you are reasonably fit, give it a go. If you do have any injuries (knee or back especially) consult your doctor before starting any new exercise regime.
The fitness test on day 1 is designed to be tough so don’t let that put you off. It is the same fitness test that you will be doing after you have completed month 3. If you stick with the whole course, you will feel like a different person doing the fitness test in 3 months time. We promise!

Cellulite Dynamite

The exact causes of cellulite are yet to be fully proven and there are lots of contradicting studies as to how to get rid of it. However, all research has one thing in common and that is that diet and exercise play a significant role in reducing the appearance of cellulite.
This program is a combination of HIIT (High-Intensity Interval Training) and resistance exercises that target and strengthen cellulite-prone areas. Including hips, thighs, bottom, tummy, and backs of arms. This, alongside specific cellulite reducing diet tips and a healthy eating plan, will help you tighten up those womanly problem areas, help get rid of water retention and will help boost your circulation. By the end of the program, you’ll start to see a smoothening in the skin and less of a ‘bumpy orange peel’ look.
All that you will need for this program is a small space, exercise mat, towel, and some water.
