“I’m fitter, have lost over a stone, my tummy is smaller, and I can fit in my favorite shorts again.”
Cassandra suffered from a back injury and found it difficult to exercise until she found InstructorLive. Here’s her story.
A. I have always been quite energetic, performing arts background. I use to dance but injured my back about 15 years ago and any time I danced, it made it worse so I stopped altogether. I did not enjoy not dancing or exercising and as I have gotten older, I suddenly put on weight. Clothes kept on getting too small so I had to do something. Then I came across you guys 🙂
Q. What’s your occupation and age?
A. I am a Youth Project Manager and am 40 years old. Boohoo 🙁
Q. Did you have any specific goals when you first signed up?
A. Yes, to lose weight and get fit again which were beyond being met. Q. What do you love most about your InstructorLive membership?
A. I love the communication on the live feed and the banter between the instructors. It feels like a group of friends supporting each other as we go along. I love the fact that I am in my front room and Leigh says ‘don’t let me do this on my own’ and I think, how did she know I stopped lol. It’s great! I also love the fact that you get nutritional advice… who knew blueberries prevented you from aging when exercising? I didn’t even like blueberries before. Now I am able to have a fruit salad with blueberries and they are yummy.
Q. Have you noticed any changes or results since you first joined InstructorLive?
A. My boobs have gone!!!!! I want them back!! I lost just over a stone. My arms have gotten smaller and are more defined now which is BRILLIANT as I hated them before and they were bursting through my jumpers. I am physically fitter, another goal accomplished.
Q. What’s the most recent program you’ve completed?
A. I completed The Ultimate Shred. I’ve also done yoga to help me sleep. That one was good too actually. I think I liked the first and second sessions on that program as it really did help me sleep.
Q. What did you think of the program? At any point, did you want to give up? If so, what kept you motivated and coming back from more?
A. I thought it was very challenging but I do like a challenge. It is called The Ultimate Shred for a reason. You shred loads but get ultimately fit too. There were times I wanted to give up as it got harder and more challenging but Leigh kept me motivated to keep going. If it was not for Leigh’s motivation, I probably would have given up and been really angry at myself. I also felt like I would let myself and Leigh down. Having the Live Community page also motivated me to carry on. especially when I saw some people doing the same program in their 50’s.
Q. What results have you achieved from the program, both mentally and physically?
A. Physically fitter. Mentally happier as I have lost weight and just today, I was about to give up on a pair of shorts but thought I would try them first… They FIT!! So happy I can wear them again. It makes me feel happy to feel fit again as I have always been fit and full of energy. It is the one thing that I am able to do for myself as work kinda takes over my life so if I have to miss a session for whatever reason, I do get really annoyed and miserable.
Q. In a sentence or two, what did you get out of the program?
A. I got exactly what I wanted. I’m fitter, have lost over a stone, my tummy is smaller, and I can fit in my favorite shorts again. I have a new hobby.
